Organ Donning

Interesting. So, can someone tell me whether it is acceptable to receive someone else's organs? It would seem to me that if it is unacceptable to donate an organ, then it would be just as unacceptable to receive one. But that doesn't seem to be the case, as "a large number of patients travel to China to have kidney and liver transplants." And, the Omani scholar, Shaikh Khalfan Al Esry, a member of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque's Steering Committe for Islamic Information Center, who says, "Organ donation, including eyes, is not permitted in Islam," contradicts what either Dr. Mohammad Al-Najimi, a member of the Saudi International Jurisprudence Academy, or Dr. Faisal Abdulrahim Shahin, Director General of the Saudi Organ Transplantation Center, say.

Yep. There's nothing like being on the same page...
