Lots of Black SUV's

Earlier today I heard one of our security sirens outside - it is a strange siren noise - kind of a loud air-blast sound. I went and opened up the slats in the blind, expecting to see one of our compound security-men pulling over a just-barely-speeding woman driver and instead saw a parade of police cars and black SUV's along with our compound security cars. Odd. Wonder what's going on?

News travels quickly through a small community. Rumor has it that we were graced with the presence of a group of U.S. Senators who are touring the Middle East. Not sure which ones were included in the convoy. Likely no one I ever supported, we can be pretty sure of that. I don't think Hillary is here - she's supposed to be visiting China, Japan, Indonesia and South Korea. And besides, she isn't a senator anymore. George Mitchell could be here - he was in the Middle East a couple of weeks ago. But he isn't a senator, either.

Who knows. Could all just be rumors. You know - small town thing, and all. Rumors can spread like wild fire here. You want someone to know something and can't reach them on the phone, all you have to do is say, "Psst. Don't tell anyone but..."
