The weather has been so odd - for us - here in The Sandbox... It has been hot and humid. Yeah. Okay. That doesn't really sound "odd," but the "humid" part is just not "normal" for us to experience at this time of year. A few weeks of humidity in late August and early September - that would be normal. This morning the wind is howling. It is howling! The trees are whipping back and forth. My pool floats have been blown all over the back yard. The grill cover has been blown right off the grill! But when I was outside with The Boy at 4:30 this morning, it didn't seem all that dusty, and I could clearly see the radio tower - so it isn't really like we are having a schmall...
Wonder if "cloud seeding" has anything to do with our weather... When we were at a friend's house a couple of months ago and he said that they were "seeding the clouds," I thought he was trying to see how gullible I was. Cloud seeding? Come on now. [You've watched too many science fiction movies!] But it is something they do here to try to make it rain. Yep. Really. That, along with "Istisqaa" ["rain seeking"] prayers. We did have that really weird, completely unexpected, quick rain April 9th...
The pool is going to be a mess. Again. But, hopefully, this wind will drive the humidity away and it will be hot, sunny and dry outside. That certainly would make "working" more pleasant for me, as a "professional tanner," and for all the men that have been imported to do this Country's laborious jobs.
