Oh My Gosh - I Almost Killed The Boy!

The Boy is off to the vet in 45 minutes. What the he11 was I thinking?!? I tried to poison the poor little guy last night. I am thankful that I didn't actually kill him. And I know better. I really do. Or, at least I thought I did. He is covered with welts. I mean just covered.

GARLIC IS DANGEROUS! DO NOT FEED IT TO YO
UR FOUR-LEGGED KIDS!!! It is part of the "onion" family and onions can kill four-legged kids.

No raisins, no grapes, no macadamia nuts, no chocolate, no onions and for Heaven sake, NO GARLIC!!!*

That is the ONLY thing I can think of that I fed him differently. We had garlic tortellini with Alfredo sauce last night. I'm pretty sure it is the first time I've bought the roasted garlic tortellini - I usually get the mushroom or four-cheese. I cut up two pieces of the tortellini, each, for both Kids. And put some Alfredo sauce on it for them. Added that to their dinner. You know, the kind of thing, "Here's a little people food for you because Mommy loves you so much" THAT SHE'S FEEDING YOU STRAIGHT GARLIC and she is trying to kill you! The Baby is fine. Not affected at all. The Boy, on the other hand...

Look at those welts. Even his little nose is swollen. I'm pretty sure he is okay - but for the allergic reaction - because he is acting normally - barking at every person that walks past the front of the house, racing around like he is going to go for a "W" because I put my sneakers on [to get on the treadmill]. Oh, and needing to go out every ten minutes to deposit some really, really loose stools...

*Done in green as a public service announcement because green is The Boy's favorite color.

  2. Updated, Janice. He is doing okay. I'll be more at ease and relaxed when his welts disappear and when he is no longer needing out in the back yard every ten or twenty minutes. Poor little guy!
